Dr. Sketchy's is the little New York event that became a movement.
Founded in 2005 by artist and performer Molly Crabapple, Dr. Sketchy's asked a simple question; why can't life-drawing classes be sexy?
Instead of static models being drawn by artists sitting in silence in a cold art class, Dr Sketchy is what happens when Cabaret meets Art School. Models are burlesque stars, contortionists, fire-jugglers, tattooed beefcakes and sideshow freaks. Short poses are accompanied by live music interspersed with performances from the talented models themselves. The charming hosts sing and award prizes and encourage the audience to make art and mischief in equal measure while cocktails are served from the bar.
With events in over one hundred cities across the globe, from New York to Melbourne, Paris to Tokyo, Dr Sketchy is arguably the biggest art cabaret franchise in the world. In 2007, local theatre company Rhymes with Purple - a company directed by performers with a background in cabaret and circus established Dr Sketchy Glasgow to bring glamour, entertainment and art the people of Glasgow. After 3 incredible years at the Arches, Dr Sketchy Glasgow has found a new home in the opulent surroundings of the Tron Theatre Victorian Bar.

Dr Sketchy is an incredibly unique and exciting art event that makes an excellent and memorable addition to your stag/hen night, event, conference or festival programming;
Imagine this;
A secluded spot in your venue or chillout tent where your guests can kick back, pick up some paper and pencils and join in sketching a beautiful model. The hosts welcome newcomers and direct them to grab a drink. Poses are only a few minutes each and there are regular short performances so you can join the fun at any time. A DJ plays tunes and there's live singing from our Sketchy Hosts.
Look at all the stuff we do for you;
• Provide models (you decide if you want guys or girls, dressed or undressed, sexy burlesque girl, fetish goddess or rock chick or an exciting mix) We'll also invite outrageously dressed guests to take to the stage to be immortalised by the other artists.
• Provide charming hosts to keep everything running smoothly. They can even give basic drawing instruction .
• Bring fantastic prizes for people to win.
• Supply a photographer to immortalize it all (or provide blackmail material)
• Provide live singing and a DJ during the session in any style of music that suits your event
• Bring sketchpads, pencils, charcoal and other art supplies
• Supply a powerful PA system, if required
All enquiries are sensibly priced according to date, time and location and are inclusive of a PA system and art materials.
