Application Guidelines
About the Fund
The RwP Fringe Fund supports emerging and independent artists, theatre-makers, and performers to take their work to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. This competitive award includes:

£2,000 cash grant to support Fringe-related costs (e.g., venue hire, accommodation, travel).

Producer and marketing support package worth £5,500, including:

Full Producer service from RwP
-
Strategic planning and budget guidance
-
Marketing and press campaign coordination
-
One-on-one mentorship and consultancy
-
24/7 troubleshooting at Fringe
-
Print package of 10,000 double-sided colour A6 flyers and 100 colour A3 posters

Who Can Apply
We welcome applications from:

Individuals, artists, companies, or collectives making their debut at the Fringe
-
Applicants must have already secured a Fringe venue
-
Those presenting new or existing live performance work
-
Applicants with a clear vision for how attending the Fringe will benefit their creative career
We especially encourage applications from underrepresented voices.

How to Apply
1. Submit an Application Form
We ask you to provide:

A description of your show (500 words max)

Artistic statement and creative goals (300 words)

Why you want to take this show to the Fringe (300 words)

3. Deadline for Applications
Deadline: Monday 02 March 2026 at 09:00
Late submissions will not be considered.

4. Shortlisting & Interviews

Shortlisted applicants will be invited to a short online interview.

Final decisions will be made within 2 weeks of interviews.

RwP Edinburgh Fringe Fund – Terms and Conditions
Please read the following Terms and Conditions carefully before submitting your application to the RwP Edinburgh Fringe Fund (the “Fund”). By applying, you agree to abide by the conditions below if selected for support.

1. Eligibility
To be considered for the Fund, the main applicant/s must:​

Be 18 years of age or older.
-
Be an individual artist, collective, or company working in live performance (e.g. theatre, comedy, spoken word, cabaret).
-
Intend to present a show at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in the upcoming season.

Submit a completed application form by the published deadline.
-
Be available for an online interview if shortlisted.

2. Award Details
Each selected recipient will receive:
-
A £2,000 cash grant to support costs related to their Fringe production. This will be paid in 2 instalments of £1,000 each.

A Producer and Marketing Support Package valued at £5,000, which may include:
-
One-to-one planning and consultancy support
-
Marketing strategy and press outreach
-
Ticketing, scheduling, and logistics assistance
-
Industry networking and promotional support
-
This package is non-exchangeable and non-transferable.

3. Use of Funds
The cash grant must be used exclusively for costs associated with participation in the Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2026.
Eligible expenses include but are not limited to:

Travel and accommodation
-
Venue hire and registration fees
-
Marketing materials and promotional activities
-
Production, set, and technical costs
-
Accessibility measures (e.g. BSL interpretation, captioning)
Recipients may be asked to provide receipts or a breakdown of expenditure upon request.

4. Conditions of Award
If selected, recipients agree to:

Use the funds as outlined in their application or as agreed upon during follow-up consultation.

Participate in a minimum of four meetings with the Fund’s producer/mentor team.

Credit the Fund in all marketing materials, programmes, and online listings, using the provided logo and acknowledgement text.
-
Submit a short final report (written or video) after the Fringe, reflecting on their experience and how the award supported their project.

Inform the Fund of any major changes to their production, delivery plans, or budget after selection.

5. Withdrawal of Award
The Fund reserves the right to withdraw the award and reclaim funds in the event of:

Misuse of funds

Failure to deliver the proposed work at the Fringe
-
Breach of these Terms and Conditions
-
Failure to respond to reasonable communication from the Fund team

6. Publicity and Promotion
By accepting the award, recipients grant the Fund permission to:

Publicly announce their selection
-
Share approved project descriptions, artist bios, and images for promotional use
-
Document and promote the supported shows on the Fund’s channels (with consent)

7. Data Protection
All personal data provided will be handled in accordance with data protection legislation and used solely for the purpose of administering the Fund, unless additional permission is granted.

8. Accessibility

9. Final Notes
