Fringe stalwarts and cabaret darlings The Creative Martyrs return to the Edinburgh
Festival Fringe in 2025, marking an extraordinary 15 years of wit, satire, and humour
as dark as the inside of a bowler hat.
Presented as part of Rhymes With Purple 2025 Fringe season,The Martyrs invite
audiences once again into their timeless world of political mischief, melancholic
melodies, and sinister singalongs. Having received multiple 4 and 5 star reviews for
their signature blend of vintage cabaret, sharp-eyed commentary, and surreal
storytelling, The Creative Martyrs have carved a unique niche in the Fringe landscape.
This year, they are presenting an homage to their journey so far, while continuing their
tradition of dissecting the absurdities of modern life through lyrical elegance and
haunting harmonies. Whether you’ve been following their antics since their debut or
are encountering them for the first time, this year’s show is a fitting celebration of
protest, satire, and the enduring power of a well-arched brow.
