Presented as part of Rhymes With Purple 2025 Fringe season, and created by Faerietale Theatre, this delightful show is set in a kingdom of grand vision but unspeakable longing. Guinevere, Lancelot and King Arthur are stuck in their unfulfilled desires, and their need for each other's Love.
Meanwhile the wise wiseass wisecrack wizard Merlin offers a provocative perspective on why this ancient story still matters in our modern world - and why queer artists might just be the right people to tell it. He relies on his familiar, Archimedes the Owl, for circus-style entertainment, and more!
“I wrote this play to surprise audiences into thinking about life in a way that's as raucously silly as Monty Python, but also deeply serious about how to make our lives more tuned to the magick all around us," says Mountaine Jonas, the playwright, who also acts as our modern Merlin.
